Dr. Scott Brady was born in St George but raised in Vernal, Utah. Throughout grade school he planned on becoming a computer programmer, but took a break after graduating high school to be a traveling minister for his church from 1999 to 2001 in Southern Alabama and the panhandle of Florida. It wasn’t until college that he realized the coolest computer of all was the human brain, which led him to major in Neuroscience at Brigham Young University and graduate in 2006. While there, he discovered chiropractic and saw it as the perfect application of his studies up to that point. Just one month after he and his sweetheart were married in July 2006, they headed to Dallas, Texas, where he graduated from Parker College of Chiropractic in 2009.
During his chiropractic studies, a doctor at the school explained the concept of aligning the upper cervical spine (top of the neck), and how that could affect everything downstream in the body. Intending to prove the concept was ridiculous, Dr. Brady began learning more about upper cervical chiropractic, and to his surprise it made perfect sense with his Neuroscience background. He subsequently found NUCCA, a specific upper cervical technique for aligning the spine using objective measurements and extremely gentle adjustments.
Dr. Brady has practiced in both Las Vegas, NV, and Vernal, UT, before relocating to St George from Vernal, where he left his snow shovel behind. He now loves being part of the TruHealth team and living in sunny Dixie with his wife Janae, his son Pratt, and his two daughters Bridget and Viola.
